Understanding our customer needs
XMA understand the importance of addressing customers needs and strive to meet requirements as they arise. As a Midlands business. XMA appreciate the local customers and how our service can become competitive because of our convenient location.
" As a customer ourselves, dealing with other local businesses helps to control the sales process. Many of our suppliers across the whole business are Midlands based. It gives us peace of mind that our suppliers are at worse, only a short drive away and understand the issues, not only in our industry, but in our area" commented John Hatton, Vendor Marketing Manager.
XMA is helping to ensure that one of the biggest employers in the East Midlands has the IT hardware, software and support that it needs to provide its huge range of services.
Nottinghamshire County Council provides a variety of services to over a million people - services including education, social services, libraries, tourism, arts and sports.
XMA were invited to tender for the IT supply contract for Nottinghamshire County Council. The Council asked a number of IT providers to contract with them on a bimonthly basis so that they could choose the supplier that provided the very best service.
After demonstrating the quality of its service, XMA won a 3 year contract with the council to provide a wide range of products and associated services, including PCs', servers laptops and printers.
"It's a great honour for us to be chosen as the preferred IT supplier by the County Council," said XMA Account Manager Eva Paltiel. "The fact that we are local means that we can respond quickly to requests from East Midlands organisations. We have a dedicated staff who work full time to servicing the contract including the other people involved in the process, from the technicians, to the warehouse workers and the admin team."
It's an exciting time for the Information Technology Division of Nottinghamshire County Council, which is working hard to assist in the delivery of customer focused, easily accessible, joined up services.
The County Council has identified 240 services where all, or a component part is, or could be potentially delivered electronically. The wider context government modernisation agenda together with E-Government and the Best Value initiatives mean that IT will play a crucial role in successfully delivering this work.
Steve Dennis, Technical Solutions Manger at Nottinghamshire County Council said: "It's essential that our preferred suppliers are companies that can be relied upon to deliver quality. Meeting or exceeding the customers' requirements with consistency, reliability and predictability. We are pleased to have XMA as our preferred supplier who is doing an excellent job."
